Detailed guidelines in respect of OTP for off-market transactions

 
 
Dear Saurabh Kumar,

As per recent Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) circular SEBI/ HO/ MIRSD/ DOP/ CIR/ P/ 2020/ 158 dated Aug 27, 2020, with effect from Nov 01, 2020, all off-market transfer of securities instructions will be processed after obtaining consent from the transferor client by the way of One Time Password (OTP) authentication.

The OTP authentication link for confirming all off-market instructions will be sent by the Depositories (NSDL/ CDSL) to the e-mail ID and mobile number as registered in your Demat Account. If your correct mobile number or e-mail ID is not registered in your Demat Account, please update the same before submitting the off-market transaction through any of the following:

Internet Banking:

The facility to update mobile number and e-mail ID is available only for individual customers.

Log in to your linked ICICI Bank Internet Banking > Investments and Insurance > Demat > Service Requests > Updation of Mobile No., Telephone No. and Email ID.

Branch Banking:
Visit ICICI Bank Demat Servicing Branch > submit duly filled Mobile number and E-mail ID updation form at the branch.
