Beware of fraudulent SMS   messages impersonating ICICI Bank

Dear Saurabh Kumar,   We have observed instances where fraudsters pretending to be from ICICI Bank send fake SMS messages related to Credit Card limits, account verification, KYC updates, reward points etc., with malicious links designed to steal your information. Please be cautious and follow the safety guidelines mentioned below. How to spot a fraudulent message:   •   Is sent from unknown mobile numbers instead of official ICICI Bank Sender IDs.   •   Contains suspicious or misspelt links.   •   Creates urgency, e.g. Credit Card limit increase, account closure threats or expiring reward points.   •   Asks for confidential/ sensitive information.   Important points to remember:   •   ICICI Bank sends official SMS messages using registered Sender IDs (short codes). Always verify that the SMS originates from these authorised Sender IDs.
