Dear Saurabh Kumar,

In this age of 24X7 connectivity, scammers and fraudsters keep coming up with new and innovative ways to get access to your personal and financial information. Hence, it is important to stay ahead of them.

At ICICI Bank, we have adopted several measures to secure your funds and your account. One such security measure is a verification call that asks you to confirm if a transaction carried out from your account is genuine, i.e., is carried out by you and not an attempt by a fraudster.

These calls will come from numbers that begin with ‘1600’. Please take note of the numbers from which ICICI Bank will call you:

Calls for Transaction Verification (IVR Calls)Calls for Investigation of Disputed Transactions (Voice Calls)
16003139001600313800
16003009001600300800
16003179001600315800

If you receive a call from any of the above numbers, you can be assured that the call is from ICICI Bank and you can proceed to confirm your transaction. These calls will not only help you secure your funds but also help ICICI Bank protect other customers like you.

Please follow the safety tips given below to stay safe and help us in our fight against fraud:

Do not divulge your banking credentials to anybody. ICICI Bank will never ask you for these details.

Never share your OTP, UPI PIN, MPIN, User ID, Password, Card Number, ATM PIN, Card Expiry Date, CVV and Card’s grid values with anyone, even if the person claims to be a bank / RBI / Income Tax Department employee.

Do not click on any links in e-mails received from unknown persons.

Do not share personal / sensitive / confidential information with anybody.

Ways to report fraud:

If you think you have been a victim of online fraud, contact the National Cyber Crime helpline by visiting cybercrime.gov.in or calling 1930. You can also call ICICI Bank’s helpline on 18002662.

If you have received a malicious / phishing / suspicious e-mail or call, please report it to Sanchar Saathi at sancharsaathi.gov.in/ and to ICICI Bank on e-mail at antiphishing@icicibank.com

Stay aware and vigilant to protect yourself and your loved ones from fraud.

Sincerely,
Team ICICI Bank
