We have observed that there have been no salary credits in your ICICI Bank Salary Account XX477 for 3 consecutive months.

Please comply with the above requirement by updating your account number with your company/employer to receive salary credits in your account within 30 days from the date of this communication.

We value your relationship with us; however, if you fail to comply with the above requirement, closure of the account will be initiated without any further notice as per the Terms and Conditions agreed by you at the time of account opening i.e. ‘In case there are no salary credits in the account for 3 consecutive months, ICICI Bank retains the right to close the account without prior notice’.

ICICI Bank shall not be responsible for any loss(es) or damage(s) that you may suffer due to non-credit of any amount/dishonour of any cheque(s) or default of Electronic Clearing Service (‘ECS’)/ Standing Instructions (SI) presented for payment after the account has been closed. Please ensure that any such ECS or SI instructions are cancelled.

Please do not issue any cheque(s) from your account, as any such cheque(s) presented to us against the account, on or after the account closure date, will be returned with the reason ‘Account Closed’. In case of dishonour/return of cheque(s), post closure of the account, the same shall be at your own cost, consequences and risks, without any liability to the Bank.

Along with the closure of the account, your Debit-cum-ATM Card and all other such services that you may be availing against the account will be deactivated. We suggest that you physically destroy your Debit-cum-ATM Card and any unused cheque leaf/leaves that may be in your possession.

For any remaining balance in the Account, a Rupee denominated Demand Draft (DD) can be collected from the home branch, for a balance of ₹500 or below. In case of an account balance above ₹500, the DD will be sent to the communication address updated with the Bank.

For digital transfer of the closure proceeds, please send a scanned copy of the duly filled and signed Account Closure Format with a self-attested copy of valid proof of identity to closureproceed@icicibank.com. The Account Closure Format can be downloaded at icici.co/ICICIT/k/DUvfZxRiUTM.

The closure of your relationship with ICICI Bank will not affect your liabilities and obligations towards the Bank and you will be liable for satisfactory completion of all transactions, carried out prior to the account closure date.

If you choose to close your account voluntarily, visit any ICICI Bank Branch.
