It is important to maintain a good banking track record to enjoy uninterrupted banking services. Here are some simple tips to do it easily.
 
Credit Summations
Ensure all sale proceeds are deposited in your Overdraft Account. Regular credit summations in your Account reduce the interest cost due to effective limit utilisation.
 
Interest servicing
Interest servicing post interest is charged in your Account.
Ensure that interest servicing through credits into the Account is done immediately after the interest is charged. Your Account may go ‘Out of Order’ if the total credits are lower than the total interest charged in the last 90 days.
 
An Account will be treated as ‘Out of Order’:
1) If the outstanding balance continuously exceeds the sanctioned limit/drawing power.
2) If the outstanding balance in the Account is less than the sanctioned limit/drawing power, but there are no credits continuously for 90 days or credits are not enough to cover the interest charged during the same period. On the 91 st day, the Account will be marked as a Non-Performing Asset and reported to CIBIL.
 
Cheque Returns
Avoid Cheque bounces. Ensure that you have sufficient funds in the Account to avoid Cheque bounces for both outward and inward issuances.
 
Overdrawing
Avoid overdrawing beyond the sanctioned limit and drawing power. Ensure that you utilise funds within the sanctioned limit to avoid Account irregularity and levy of applicable Penal Charges.
 
Renewal
Ensure your Overdraft Limit is renewed within the specified time as per the sanction terms to avoid levy of applicable Penal Charges.
 
End Use
The Facility will be utilised only for the purpose of sanction and not for speculative purposes, illegal activities, investment in capital markets/real estate, purchase of gold in any form (including primary gold, gold bullion, gold ETF, gold jewellery, etc.), litigations or any other immoral activities. If in the opinion of ICICI Bank (which opinion will be binding and conclusive against the Borrower), the Facility is not used/being used for the specified purpose, the Borrower may be restricted from initiating any further withdrawals under the Facility.
