You may receive a parcel that you’ve never ordered. The caller would insist that money will be charged from your Credit Card or Bank Account for the product or service.
Once you confirm that you haven’t ordered, they will casually offer instructions on how to cancel the order if you wish to
To cancel the fake order, you will be asked to call a given number. The goal of the fraudster is to get you to give them your personal and sensitive information like Passwords, Date of Birth, Card Expiry Date, etc.
Don’t be fooled. They’ll want the information so they can charge your Credit Card or steal money from your Bank Account!
Always remember to report such frauds immediately to the National Cyber Crime department at cybercrime.gov.in or call the helpline on 1930.
