Important – Revised RBI guidelines - Positive Pay System

	Dear Saurabh, As per the Reserve Bank of India’s (“RBI”) guideline dated Sep 25, 2020, ICICI Bank has  implemented the Positive Pay facility for clearing cheques, to safeguard the interest of the customers. To utilise the Positive Pay facility, customers will be required to provide the following basic details of the cheques issued by them for cheques deposited on and from Jan 01, 2021 for cheques, of value greater than ₹50,000.   • Account number • Cheque number • Beneficiary/ Payee name • Amount • Cheque date   Customers can provide the information using ICICI Bank Mobile Banking app, ‘iMobile’ and Internet Banking. Please follow the below steps to provide information for Positive Pay through iMobile:   • Click on ‘Services’ in the bottom right corner, click on ‘Cheque book services’, and click on ‘Positive Pay’. • Enter the following details:   ⚬ Cheque Number ⚬ Beneficiary/ Payee Name ⚬ Cheque Amount ⚬ Cheque Date   To download iMobile, click here .   Please follow the below steps to provide information for Positive Pay through Internet Banking:   • Click on Customer Service > Service Requests > Bank Accounts > Cheque book/ DD related > Positive Pay. • Follow the below steps:   ⚬ Select account number ⚬ Enter cheque number (Internet Banking validates the cheque status; cheque should be unused) ⚬ Beneficiary/ Payee name ⚬ Cheque Amount ⚬ Cheque Date (date cannot be older than 90 days)   If the Positive Pay facility is opted for and there is a mismatch in cheque details on the cheque and those provided by the customer, ICICI Bank may return/ reject the cheque.
