Important information under Liberalised Remittance Scheme

Dear Customer,

Greetings from ICICI Bank.

In terms of the extant Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations, Authorised Dealers may freely allow remittances under Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS) by resident individuals up to USD 2,50,000 per Financial Year (April-March) for any permitted current or capital account transaction or a combination of both.

As per the RBI guidelines on Liberalised Remittance Scheme - Harmonisation of Data and Definitions dated June 19, 2018 it is mandatory to furnish PAN for making all remittances under LRS.

In view of the above RBI regulations, international transactions from your Debit Card will only be permissible if your 10-digit PAN is updated in your account. In case you have not updated your 10-digit PAN, please update it within 30 days from the date of receipt of this communication through any of the following modes:

1) Log in to ICICI Bank Internet Banking and follow the path below Path:
Customer Service > Service Requests > Bank Accounts > Account Details Modification Related > View / Update PAN Card

2) By visiting the nearest ICICI Bank branch.

If PAN is not updated within the above mentioned timeline, your Debit Card will be blocked for any future international transactions under LRS. If the LRS limit for a financial year is breached, your ICICI Bank Debit Card will be blocked for any future LRS transactions for the current financial year.

This communication was to keep you updated with the extant RBI regulations. To know more, click here.

Looking forward to more opportunities to be of service to you.

Sincerely,

Amarjit Walia
