SIM-Swap involves a fraudster collecting victim's personal banking information and then approaching the victim's mobile operator with fake ID proofs to obtain a duplicate SIM card. The mobile operator deactivates the original SIM card and issues a replacement SIM. With the help of the new SIM card, fraudster does account transactions through mobile banking without victim's knowledge.
