Let’s preserve the environment together!

ICICI Bank
Take a step towards a greener tomorrow

Dear Customer,

It is said that ‘If we care for the environment, it will take care of us’. As a responsible corporate citizen, ICICI Bank has stepped up various Go Green initiatives in the last 3 years. On this World Environment Day, I am delighted to share with you a few initiatives taken by the bank to promote environmentally sustainable processes in banking and beyond.

Save energy:
We have switched to energy efficient equipment to reduce our overall energy consumption by approximately 40% in towers and 28% in our branches. It is equivalent to lighting up more than 42,000 rural households. Solar systems installed at various offices, over 500 branches and 200 ATMs have helped us enhance our renewable energy portfolio. Together, these initiatives have minimised our overall carbon emission by 40,000 tonnes.

Go digital. Go paperless:
We are grateful to you for accepting digitisation of various banking services offered by ICICI Bank. We have reduced overall paper consumption by 25%, saving over 10,000 trees. Our digital services include Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Tab Banking, Insta Banking, 24-hour Touch Banking branches, subscription to e-statements and Green PIN (PIN generation through digital channel).

Green practices:
Over 80,000 employees of ICICI Bank promoted green practices through plantation drives, eco-friendly products, vehicle PUC checks and awareness campaigns.

We are humbled to receive recognition from various esteemed organisations for our initiatives. Some of these are:

Your participation can significantly increase the impact of these initiatives. You can contribute by adopting digital channels for your everyday banking and payment needs. Take the pledge and participate in the change today

Looking forward to your co-operation towards a greener earth and a better life.
